Javanese Dance Collaboration

The premier event that was the Indonesian Dance Festival - held during the last week of October, 2008 - provided a beutiful backdrop for some fond reunions. Bapak Waleed attended the event as a guest of some of the organizers and had the good fortune of meeting up with Drs. FX. Widaryanto, S.S.T., MA whom he had not seen in several years. Pak Widaryanto spent time in Ann Arbror, Michigan as an artist-in-residence at the University of Michigan.

During that time, he and Bapak Waleed collaborated on several occasions, including Javanese Dance performances on campus and extended training and rehersal at Bapak's studio. The pictures below are from those studio sessions.
